In the morning we read. Then I cried. Then we went to the Science fair. Then we went to Reading buddies - it was our last reading buddies of the year. .... do not write what I just said. Today we had DEAR. Then we had ummm... we did the "There" project. Then we cried. Then we we did some poetry for our parents (keep an eye out for this). Then we had recess. I cried at recess. I said I didn't cry at recess. Then we had Math - today we learned about fractions. Then it was lunch. Then there was a presentation by Mr. Martelli. Then we did some Microsociety. Then we had recess. I cried at recess... Then we had music and gym. Right now I am in gym... I think I am going to go to the gym and cry.

Hi. This is Kimmy S.
yo.
What is up parents and kids. This is the Smitherster! Ummm today we Read.
Then we .. can you delete the Ummmm... hey... Mr. Keil... (dirty look). Then we worked on our poetry. I wrote four poems. One was acrostic, two whatcha ma callets... actually that is one word... Then we had recess. I ate a teacher for recess.
Then we had reading buddies. After reading buddies we ate lunch.
Then we worked on our claymation. Then we did area stuff and now we are in music and gym.
That is it!

Homework:
Many students brought home area sheets to work on. This assignment works as follows. The kids create a shape then figure out the area of that shape by counting the squares inside the shape. Each square is worth $10.00. They must add up the cost of the area of the shape.

Also - they must build a fence around the building. They must measure the perimeter using a ruler and for every centimeter it will cost them $2.00. They have to add up the cost of the perimeter as well.

In the end they must add up the total amount for the area and the perimeter. They must have a total cost for all the buildings both area and perimeter.

That is it.

Science good copy - due on Tuesday.
Poetry good copies - due on Tuesday.
Do not panic - they will be given LOTS OF TIME on Monday to get all of this done. If they use their time wisely they will complete everything then. If you want to give them a head start have them work on any of the above this weekend and they will be set.

Yo this is Jules.
Well we read until the bus came to take us to Scouts about. Then we went to do four activities and the last one was a camp fire where we got to eat marshmallows. One of the activities was the obstacle course and it was short but it was fun. Another one was water preserving and the other one was carbon dioxide and oxygen presentation.
When we got back to school we got to play outside and right now Mr. Keil pulled me out of knee soccer to write the blog.

Science good copy is due on Tuesday of next week. The kids have written the rough copy - handed it in - I have marked them but this mark will not go on the report card unless they do not hand in a good copy.

Math project - area - due next Monday. Most of the terrific threes are working hard in class and should get it done before the weekend. They will be given time on Friday to get this done.

Field trip - tomorrow - bring a lunch, water, etc.

This morning we did language. We started writing poems. Mine is AMAZING!
Then it was recess. Then I cried. Then we had our spelling test. I got 9/10. I cried again.
Then we had Math. For Math we started our project on area and perimeter. I cried again and again.
Then it was lunch. I didn't cry at lunch. Then we had STOMP practice. Then we had our Math test. I did I don't know on the math test. Then we had recess. Now we are in music and gym. I love music and gym because it is the only subject where I can really really cry.

Hi it is Madison,
Sooooo.... we...... okay stop it. This morning we went to the assembly but I was late! DON'T WRITE THAT DOWN!
First off all... Mr. Keil stop it. Then we came in the classroom and what did we do next? I think we worked on Claymation. Then we had recess. After recess we had Math. In Math we worked on some shapes and we made a town and I don't know what our town is called ahhh I am falling.
Then we ate lunch.
After lunch we finished the communities. Now we are doing the blog. Annnnd we are doing music and gym annnnnd some crazy noises.

We are back. I am going to write this blog to apologize for not keeping this up to date but promise that this will not happen again.
There is a lot happening in the Grade 3 class - from our Coca-Cola Science experiment to the claymation work we are doing.
We continue to work on preparing for EQAO which will be starting next week.... crazy.
We are right in the middle of a book battle with some Australians from Melbourne and the students should be reading every night so that we can win this book contest!
It wraps up on Friday of this week.
Lastly - the Grade three's just completed a Monster Exchange project with a school in Kansas. The Canadian kids would draw a monster and write a description and we sent the description to Kansas where they drew our beasts based entirely on the description.
Then we received some descriptions from them and drew their monsters as well.

Okay. This is SpEvan.
Today I cried.... we worked on some Claymation... I mean.... we actually worked on Monster Match then we worked on Claymation. Then it was recess. I had a good recess. I only cried for 15 minutes. And I caught a caterpillar. Then what we did was we worked on probability stuff. Then I cried again because I love school so much! Then we had lunch. I ate a banana and a couple of other things. After lunch we went to the library to research our monsters and then we came back to the class to read and get some work done.
All together we got 600 and something points for the competition!
Then we had recess. I did not cry during this recess. After recess we had music and gym. That was my day and my sign off is... Girls lie... oh oh ... Girls lie.... I take it back. I think Girls are great!

At the beginning we worked on our MONSTER MATCH. Then we had reading buddies. Then it was recess. After recess we had our spelling test then we did some math. Then we ate lunch. Yo yo yo this is the Jonezinator,
This morning I wasn't here until after recess! We worked on Bunnicula and then had reading buddies. I was really sad that I was not at school.
After recess we did our multiplication test. I almost got perfect! Then we did our Math Gallery walk. Then we ate lunch. I had a pizza pocket. It was delicious! I ate twelve of them.
After lunch we worked on our Probability lesson. We did the coin flip which was we touched the SMARTboard and it would flip a coin for us. Then we looked to see if it was on heads or tails. We found that it landed on heads just a couple more than tails. Then we had recess. I cried at recess because I love school sooo much !
Please take that out.
After recess we worked on Social Studies and Bunnicula ! We are DONE BUNNICULA!

Then it was recess again. After recess we came in and Mr. Keil said to sign up for Arts days. Now we are doing free time because we all got our homework done!

This is Mr. Keil writing todays blog.
I wanted to thank the parents and the students for their hard work this week. We broke a record with two consecutive days with all students having their homework done!
Now we are going for a week.
Tips to get all your homework done on time.
Bring home Literacy circles on Monday and start doing small bits of it at night.
Start practicing spelling words on Monday night.
Lastly their will be a review sheet for multiplication tables sent home on Monday. These sheets are to help the young grade threes learn those times tables. They could look at 10 questions per night and be ready for their tests on Friday for the next three weeks. If every student scores perfect on the test - good things shall happen.

Homework:
Just correct the multiplication quiz and bring it in on Monday.

Today we ummmmm... did .... uhhhh.... reading in the morning.... and then we worked on the story board for Bunnicula. Then we did our rotation before recess. After recess we went to a music assembly. Then I ate lunch. I ate a dinosaur. I also ate a fried teacher for lunch. Then I went outside for lunch recess. Spent most of it chasing a ball on a string. After lunch we worked on 52 billion pages of math. Then we went out for recess a bit early. Again I chased a ball on a string. Then we had track and field. We jumped in the sand pits and threw balls and ran.

Today we started the day by reading Bunnicula. It is a story about dogs and a bunny. Then we had a artist in the school. We worked on our Responsibility board.

This morning I cried. Then we had reading buddies. After we came back and I cried. Then we read quietly for a few minutes. Then we had a spelling test. I got okay. Then I cried. No I didn't cry... Then I cried. Mr. Kerswel what did we do after our spelling test? Then we organized the class... then after that Mr. Kerswel?? ? In the morning... in the morning. Then we had literacy circles. Look what I bought at the book fair. That was Evan. Then we did our rotation. Then we went for lunch. I went home then played football with Abbey. We cried. After lunch we had a math test. It went okay. I did not cry during the math test. I did not cry today. After we worked on our social studies on aboriginal people. Then we did our Claymation. I am working with Cameron. We are working on Star Wars. Our Claymation project is about Star Wars and how they always cry.
Overall today was a good day. I am sad that it is Easter weekend. I never want to leave school. I love school sooooo much. Can I go to the lost and found because .... um... when ... okay... I need to go to the lost and found because I bought something from the book fair and then I cried... oh ... this is Zac.

This morning I read a book. Then we went to the recognition assembly. I danced at the assembly. My dad was there. I was nervous... so nervous I didn't almost cry.
After the assembly we pretty much went to recess. Then after recess we worked on our spelling and literacy circles and I am finished them!
Then we ate lunch. I ate apples.
After lunch I was turned into a Zombie for the Boys Book club. We are trying to win a pizza party by making a comic book.
After that we went to the computers. When we got back we cleaned our desks and went to recess. Now we have gym and music. Overally today was a good day!

I (Madison) played tag at recess. I (kyla) cried. After recess we went back to do our Annie posters and a few people finished. Then we came back to the class, did our rotation and worked.
Then we ate lunch. It was goo-ood.
After lunch we went to the Book fair. It was good... Ya nah... I choose two books... where did my chair go? He he he he ... Illara took my chair... okay... okay stop writing that ... he is going to write it... stop.... ha ha ha hah a
Then we came back to the class and used the SMARTboard to work on our Math. Then we worked on our textbook math.. It was easy... it was easyy...
Then we had recess. I cried and we played tag again.
After recess we had music and gym that we are doing right now.. Now we have to go BACK TO THE GYM!

Rotation work - some are completing a story called The Soccer game, some are working on literacy circles, some spelling stories and others reading responses.

Also - On Wednesday morning some of the Grade 3's will be presenting their swing dance routines at the recognition assembly. We would love to see some parents there if you can make it.

Yo Yo Yo Yo yo yo yo yo yo .. I am an old lady. This is Evan the old lady.
Ummm. Today a scientist came in and talked to us about leaves and the environment... and plants. It was good. We made a little booklet. In the booklet there was tonnes of activities like the word search. We also did some leaf drawings with crayons. We also experimented with iodine and we put it on pieces of bread to see if it stored food and nutrients. Then we ate lunch. I ate a reindeer. After lunch we worked on math. Wait we forgot an experiment we did... the one with the seed where we broke it open and looked inside it. After math we worked on our literacy circles that are due tomorrow!
Then we had recess. I cried at recess.
After recess we worked on our claymation. My story is about a mayor just sitting in his chair and then spongebob comes knocking on the door... the rest you will have to find out later.
My day was good.
I miss school already.

Hi... This is the Jonzinator.
This morning we had a supply teacher. I wasn't here but I hear that we worked on some Literacy circles. Then I cried. After recess we did our rotation and I got to work on literacy circles and my group was the Garden Blues group. I liked the Garden Blues because it made my heart smile. Then we ate lunch. I ate tacos! They were good. I ate ten of them. (dirty look). After lunch Mr. Keil came back and we did some Math. We did some easy math using multiplication. I think multiplication is fun. Then we went outside for a science walk. We took a walk to look at the environment. Then we came back and got into our Claymation groups. I am excited about the Claymation stuff. I am really really excited because I really like taking photos and crying. (dirty look - arms crossed). Then we had recess. Now we have music and gym. My sign off is (scratch, scratch, scratch....) I cried on March Break because I missed school sooo much!

This is Ola Bola,
Today we got to school and cheered because we were at school !!!
Oh no we didn't!
This morning we edited our writing with the VCOP detective. VCOP stands for vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation.
Umm my story was good.
Then we went for recess. I was sad at recess because I was not in the classroom. No I wasn't. I should know my own life.
After recess we did our rotation - some literacy circles, some spelling, some reading responses and others working with Mr. Keil.
Then we ate lunch. Don't you dare write anything like that!!! Like when you say that I ate a dinosaur... hey.
After lunch we went to the library. Then we had some math. We worked on our multiplication table. Then we started a new unit on Claymation. I am not excited about this project. Then we had recess, music and gym... gotta go.

Welcome Back!
Today was a very busy day - so busy that we did not have time to get one of the kiddies to write in the blog.
So I will do it.
This morning we worked on reviewing some answers for our EQAO testing. Ask your son/daughter how they think they are going to do on the EQAO test.
Then we did some free writing.
After lunch we learned about doubling in Math - take an answer like 4 x 3 = 12 - then if someones asks you what is 4 x 6 - you just double the answer to get 24! amazing.
Then we finished up our Commercials which we will look at tomorrow.
Lastly we worked on completing our math and cleaning up the classroom.

Math - page 226 - all of it.

Today we came to school and worked on our structures. Then we had reading buddies. After that we had recess. After recess we did our group work. Today I did reading responses. Then we ate lunch. After lunch we worked on our math. In Math we are working on mid-chapter review. Then we had recess. After recess we worked on our science again. Then we worked on our swing dancing. My day was Good.

I (Mr. Keil) decided to write the blog myself today. The reason I made this decision is because I wanted to let the students and the parents of the Grade three class know how amazing our day was. It started with some supplies and a blank piece of paper and the kids worked hard all day completing a structure that displays environmentally friendly items. The Grade three students did an absolutely amazing job. The exceeded all my expectations and created outstanding structures. More importantly, they found ways to solve all the problems that they faced with very little assistance from myself or the parent volunteers. Today was one of my favourite days teaching because I was able to watch as a room full of children were totally engaged in a activity for the entire day. The day flew by and the classroom even displayed unhappiness when they were told that they had to go out for recess instead of staying in to complete the task at hand.
Their should be a lot of proud parents out there today.
Take a look at some of the pictures and you will understand how fantastic the class was today.

This morning we read our books and then Mr. Keil told us that we had a busy day!
Then we went to the SMARTboard and Mr. Keil showed us EQAO answers. I thought that the answers were a little bit hard and I cried... Cause I didn't quite get them. Then we had recess. At recess I watched a Go - GO battle! Then we went back inside. After that we did our group work. Today I was in the group with Mr. Keil. We did some EQAO about the garden Blues. I didn't cry. Then we ate lunch. Today I ate a pizza with flies. Then we went back into the school and I went to the library to switch books. Then we went back to the classroom and we worked on our Math. We are doing multilplication. It was okay. Then it was recess. At recess I barked like a dog. Then we went to music and gym.
BIG NEWS - WE WON THE SKATING FORM COMPETITION! I jumped up and down like a kangaroo when we won.

Big day tomorrow - structure building. The kids will come into the school and start working on building their structures. Any parents that want to help out are more than welcome.

They also have some writing homework - the Snowman story - answering the questions - most got this done but it is due.
Lastly - the kids were put into different groups that will require some homework:
Some were writing a spelling story - Captain Underpants group
Some were reading literacy circle books - Harry Potter group
Some were completing reading responses - Coraline group.
And some worked with me completing the Garden Blues - Another Captain underpants group.

This morning we came inside and we came inside and we read. Then we set up the literacy circles. I choose the Harry Potter book. Then we had recess. I held on to a pencil and played Knox corner. Then we came inside and held the Olympic torch!!!! Then we worked on our swing dancing and more literacy circles. Then we went to lunch. I ate a school bus and a pudding. Not a school bus... pudding. Then we worked on our Math. We went on the SMARTboard then worked in our text books. Then we had recess. I cried at recess and stayed inside and did not cry... or did I. After recess we started working on our structures. Then we got ready to go home - then we started swing dancing again. Now we are going home.

This morning we did DEAR. Um what did we do after... ummm. hmmm your mean. Then we read Matthew and the Midnight Tow truck. Then we worked on some Evil Questions attacking Ontario. Then we had recess. During recess I was sad that I was not in the classroom. Then we did some more EQAO work on the smartboard. Then we ate lunch. I ate nothing. I was too sad that I was not in the classroom. HmmmmmmMMMMMMMM. Then we ummm what did we do.... we talked about our classroom and what we are going to do to improve our classroom and the lessons. Then we did a multiplication thing with different materials. I danced around the classroom. Then we worked on Social Studies. Then we had recess... I hate recess.. Now we have music and gym. (eye roll). This morning we read. Then we ... I forget. Then we worked on our EQAO. Which I love by the way. Then we had recess. During recess I ate a dinosaur. (silence). Then we did an eggy thingy. It was a lesson on multiplication. I didn't like it - it was boring. (students pushing buttons). Then I ate lunch. After lunch we went to the library to work on our thingys (commercials). Then we worked on developing our structures. I barely had fun doing that. Could I go now? Now we have music and gym. I will miss school today.

This is the Tuckdawg,
Today we ummm we started the standing up competition for the Olympics. Then we did curling by pushing tape in the room. We used a metre stick and a ruler to measure how far the tape landed from the spot. Then we worked on our literacy circles. After recess we played the spelling Olympic game. Students spelt the words and the most was the winner. Then we had math. Then we ate lunch. I ate a velociraptor. After lunch we did more math and then we played a Olympic game using times. Then we had afternoon recess. Now we have music and gym. I miss school when i am not at it. I do not like the weekends because I cannot go to school.

Ummm. This morning we did some reading. And then we did a bit of our literacy circles. And then we did some writing on how to brush your teeth. Then we had recess. Then we had math and we checked our math and then we figured out which shapes went into different circles (Venn diagrams sorting the different shapes). Then we ate lunch. I ate a croissant. It was delicious. I ate a dinasour. Then we went to the computers to work on our commercials. Mine is okay. Ummm I like it. I am going to put my voice on tomorrow! Then umm we came back to the classroom and I think we did some science. In Science we were doing the structure stuff and how to make environmentally friendly buildings. Then we had recess. This morning I hopped to school. We started the day by getting our new spelling words. Then we went to writing and recording literacy circles. We used the mikes and video recorders to record our lit circles. Then we had recess. Then we worked on literacy circles. Then we ate lunch. Then we had math. In Math we worked on Congruent shapes and lines of symmetry. Then we did a little bit of science. Then we had recess. Now we have music and gym.
I had fun today until we had to do the pencil thing. That was it - today was terrible ! The pencil thing was the only thing that was not fun.

This morning we went to see the grade 2 things that they did on their family. I thought they were cool. I think my teacher is cool. Thats not what I said. Delete that. (attempt to delete items). Why don't you delete it? Okay okay. Then we did our speeches... or people did our speeches... what is that - that looks cool. What. Oh um ... ah... We worked on our speeches all morning. I am glad that I am done my speech. Then I ate lunch. Wait okay - I don't know ... then we worked on our literacy circles. Then we started our swing dance lessons. Oh yaaaa. Oops I forgot about that. This is Emmzy. This morning we went to the speech assembly. The speeches were good. I cried. (dirty look towards teacher). Then we went for recess. Then we went back to see who was going to represent Chine Drive in the speech competition. Then we ate lunch. I ate a moose and blueberry muffin. (dirty look towards teacher). (Icicles being shot out of eyes towards teacher). After lunch we went to the computers to work on our commercials. They went good. I didn't cry during library time. I was proud of that. Then we went for recess. Then we came back in from recess and we did our art. Now it is time to go home but we are going to choose our swing dancing partners! I am not excited. I mean I am excited. This morning we read books. I like books. I love books. Okay just delete I love books... okay ... I am fine... with the... ahhhhhhh.... Then Kim gave us an awesome presentation on Tet - which is the celebration of every kids birthday that is Vietnamese - she brought in some food - it was cool - but she brought in meat and I don't like meat. I eat dinasour. Ahhhh... ummm. Then Kim told us what year we were for the Vietnam new year - we are the year of the Snake and Mr. Keil is the year of the horse. And then we worked on our literacy circles. Then we .... did something... Then we had recess. After recess we had math - and we had to take a picture of our face - cut it in half - glue it on a piece of paper and draw the other half of our face. Mine looks like a pirate. Zac looks like he just left his body and he is a skull. He looks creepy. We did it because we are starting a new unit on symmetry and symmetry is making like - separating a shape and making it even ... like everything is even.. after that we did another thing that I forgot. Then we did lunch. I ate a whale. Lunch was radical. It was really radical. Then after lunch we went to the library to work on our commercials. Mr. Keil was at a hockey game so I cried. Then we got our marks for science. Nobody got an A. Then after that we talked about like... ahh.... we talked about... well Mr. Keil did a lecture and we listened and we listened to something and we talked about structures and its radical and we have to make an eco friendly structure because we have to make something that is eco friendly because we don't want to make a bridge. We are going to have partners then we are going to do something... we did something after that... I forget what we did... then it was recess... then after recess we had music and gym... Right now I am missing a lot of gym so bye.

Hi... My name is Alexander. I eat paint. And I did not eat paint. First we went in the class and everyone was excited because it was valentines day. Then Mr. Keil yelled at us and we locked him up in jail. Then we did work. First we answered some EQAO questions - Evil Questions attacking Ontario. Then we went for recess and I got all muddy and was sad. Then we came back in from recess and we had our spelling test. I did okay on the test. Then we worked on our literacy circles. My group was good because only three people were there and we talked about our book. I don't really like the book because it is not like Star Wars.
Then we ate lunch. I ate a sandwich made of groundhog. No actually I ate ummmmm.,
After lunch we went to the library to work on our commercials. I got a lot done!
Then we partied ! I ate lots of junk food - I think I am going to explode. Ummmmm. Then we went to music and gym. No gym today because the grade 8's that don't know Mr. Keil's name are dancing.

Waaa. this is Evan. WEeeeeee. Ummm. Today we did DEAR then we worked on our bridges that had 79 pieces of Play dough on it. We built three bridges - a Beam bridge, an arch bridge, and a suspension bridge. I built a huge suspension bridge that went to the moon. After that we worked on Literacy circles. Then we ate lunch. I ate a deer face. no i didnt. Then we worked on movie maker... la la la lal a... then we worked on speeches... and then language... then that was the day. Ya.. Hi. My name is Madison. I own a pet unicorn. HEYY...
This morning we did reading, speeches, and then we did ... ummm.... ahhh... can you help me Mr. Keil... Then we worked on literacy circles. Then we ate lunch. It was PIZZA Lunch - it is my favourite lunch - I go crazy... ahhhhh!
After lunch we did some EQAO stuff. It was kinda like a test but we did this assignment to see what we did in the morning ... I do so much things in the morning (to clarify - we wrote instructions as to what is required to prepare for school). Then we made these bridges... made bridges.. and we made a beam bridge, a arch bridge and what is that other one called... Mr. Keil can you help me again... suspension bridge. We were testing to see which one is the strongest. I think that the suspension bridge is going to be the strongest. Then it was recess. It is very bad out there. I didn't have a good recess because it was snowing and I couldnt see.
Now we have music and gym - I gots to have some fun.

This is Ola bo bola the bolaster,
This morning I came to school with a smile on my face and a bounce in my step. I forget... oh ya - we did our literacy circles. We watched a book on the SMARTboard and it was called the Lima Bean Monster. Sometimes he tricks you cause with Julian he said that I cry all day - this is Cole... I cry all day... I am aware - this is Ola now. Ummm then I was sad cause I had to go to reading buddies and leave the classroom. My reading buddy is Ella. It was fun.
Then I cried because we had recess... no no no no - I am happy.
Then we came back from recess and we cried because it was back to school. Mr. Keil - can I work on my flag? hey Eric .....
Then we worked on our math review for our test. After that we worked on our flags. I represent the country of Poland - how could I forget!
Then we ate lunch.
When we got back we went to the library to work on our commercials. Then we had our math test. The math test was easy because I am sooo smart... and Mr. Keil cried because it was sooo easy.
Now we are working on our flags and then going home... what about the recess, what about the firedrill - they were all part of our day!

This morning we went to the back to get a snowball that we made yesterday. When we got to school we read. I love to read. My book is Captain Underpants. Then we worked on our speeches. Then we used our literacy circles which are due tomorrow ! Then we had recess. At recess we went back to the snowball. Then we started rolling it down the hill to collect snow. After recess we did some math on the SMARTboard. Then we ate lunch. After lunch we went to the library then it was recess again. After recess we had art where we are learning how to draw pictures that look like they are going into the page.
My day overall was good. I will not miss school.

We are back and this is the Garrett Barrett!
This morning we read a book. Then we did spelling words and we wrote them down on the SMARTboard. We had a competition.... the competition was if the kids get ahhhhh... he he he heh eh hehhe..... one word right then they get a minute of time to do whatever we want! And we lost a word because I got it wrong then Mr. Keil took it away from us and he got a minute. In the end we won 9 minutes because we are sooo smart!
After spelling we worked on our speeches and literacy circles. Then we had recess. At recess I cried because I wanted to stay in school... no that is not what I did at recess.... After recess we did a test on reading and writing. I don't know how I did. Then we ate lunch. I ate a dinasour for lunch. At lunch we had computer clubbbbbbbnbbbbbb... today I made a movie and Axel deleted some of my pictures ! I cried. Then the pictures that I had were X's.
After computer club we went in and worked on our Math. Then we choose our team for the Olympics!!!! I am CANADA ! Then we worked on drawingggggg towns. Then we had recess. I drank some chocolate milk. And there is another chocolate milk in my desk... ewwwww.
Now we are in music and gym! The chocolate milk did not taste bad.

Speeches - we have set the date - next tuesday is the day for rough drafts. We present Monday February 15.
Literacy circles are due on Friday morning.

Hi... I am a kitten. My name is Axel the cat. Today I ate cat food.... then we had DEAR... Hi.... then we had Dear.... haeeehaha ... ... then... we..... went to an assembly.. While at the assembly I chased after a mouse and barfed. After that we worked on Literacy circles - it was good... literacy circles was goood..After that we did some math and a spelling test... I got a 9/10 on my test. I am amazing! Cats are smart.
After that we had library and I got my new book on World War II. Then I played with some yarn. After that we were supposed to have science... instead we cleaned our messy desks and worked on finishing up a lot of work! I worked on my art... I like art... we are completing our backgrounds for in the .... background for... in the.... our underwater scence.
After that we had music and gym and I am doing that right now! it is going to be fun... In music and gym we are doing centres. Bye Bye ! and.... HAPPY EVERYDAY !
P.S. and I have a friend cat named Menu.

Students are to complete the following:
Map of school - for social studies.
Underwater scences for Art.
Social Studies - chapter 1 - Information sheet on the Wendet.
Read - last weekend for the Raptors competition. We are doing great so keep reading!
Most of the students will be done almost all of these activities if they used their time wisely in class. If they do not have time at home - no worries - I will just have them work on it during recess on Monday and Tuesday.

Hey team - this is Sebastien.
First thing we did this morning was DEAR time. Then we reviewed our spelling words. After that we worked on our literacy circles by using the SMARTboard and the story 50 below zero. Then we had recess. At recess I didn't do anything.
After recess we worked on our literacy circles more. I got mine done.
Then during math we learned about perimeter. I think it is easy.
Then we ate lunch. I ate a Raptor.
After lunch we went to the library to work on our stories, speeches, and the typing. After that we worked on our social studies. Then we had recess. After recess we had some science where we learned about the environmental impact of different structures. Now we are going home.
It was a good day.
Also - I liked the Marlies game yesterday. A good way to spend the day!

Homework:
Spelling test tomorrow - the words are - pioneers, possible, wonderful, early, beautiful, difference, settlers, aboriginal, bridges, support.
Also - students have to finish up their literacy circles. Each student has only one section to have completed by tomorrow morning.
Reading - we are tearing up this Raptors competition so lets win some tickets!

Yo Yo Yo Yo This is the bournski!
This morning we came to school and did some reading. Then we worked on more spelling words. Then we went to Reading buddies and took them for a walk outside to take a look at the five senses. It was fun. Some kids ran up a hill... I had to help one down. Then we had recess. After recess we wrote some letters about saving the world. I liked my letter because it was good. Then we ate lunch. I ate an elephant. I forget what I ate.
After lunch we built clocks in math. Then in social studies we did plays about first nation people. Then we went to recess. After recess we presented. The plays were really funny. My favourite part of the play was when Eric gave Emma a wedgy.
Overall today was awesome!

Yo this is the attack of the Zac,
This morning I cried. I didn't cry.
This morning I came in late... which makes me naughty. I read for about maybe 5 minutes. First we worked on our spelling. We used the SMARTboard to introduce our words. Then we worked on our speeches. Then we went out for recess. We came back in from recess and I was happy to be back to work. Then we worked on our Literacy circles. Then we ate some lunch. I ate an elephant. I didn't eat an elephant. Umm... then after lunch we (our class) went to the library to work on our stories and I had to write a math test because I am naughty. There was naughty grade 7 girls in the library that kept talking. I didn't finish my test so we came back ... oh then we did social studies right... um.. ya... we did our maps. We want to finish these maps. Mr. Keil what is the number of Mrs. Daskalakis's room??? hey you wrote it.... HI Zac.... umm... now Mr. Keil and I are writing a blog.... I am sad. Ummm. Now we are not getting ready for recess because people were talking when others were trying to do a test and Mr. Keil had to come out to tell us to be quiet four times... so we have to stay in .... I am sad.... ummmm... then we are going to have music and gym my favourite part of the day !
I love school sooooo much!

hi... it is Kylaster.
In the morning we read then we worked on our speeches then we went out for recess. When we came back in we did our math test and I cried. We did the math test up till lunch and the people that were not done they when everyone else went into the library they got the chance to finish up the math... I love school... and then .... school is the most fun ever... then we worked on ... our stories for our comic books. Then we came back into the classroom and we had our first SMARTBOARD presentation on bridges. The projector FINALLY CAME !!
It is different than the one in the library. Are we really going to the marlies game next week? oh ya... we are.. I love school soooo much !
No I don't want to go to the Marlies game.

Hi this is the Bournski identity.
What is this.... twist... twist... twist... smile.... look at computer.... frown... turn into smile... frown now..shoulder shrug.... times two.
Shoulder shrug. This morning we came to school and we went to watch a girl play the Harp. After the harp concert we went to hang out with our reading buddies. Then we had recess. At recess I chased the grade 8's (diaper baby). I missed my teacher so much during recess !
After recess we worked on our Math. We have a test tomorrow. I am really excited. Shoulder shrug... head nod...
Then we ate lunch. I ate a whale. It was delicious. I want to work on my math... you write it.... Okay.
After lunch we went to the library to learn about ComicLife. I enjoyed it. It made me happy. It made me want to jump for joy.
After comiclife we went for recess. After recess we worked on our Maps for social studies.

Ummmm.... we had DEAR. Then we had writing. During writing we worked on our stories. Then we had recess. At recess I cried? Nooooo.....
After recess we got into our Literacy circles... ya... circles... Then we read our books for a bit and figured out that each student has a different job every week... ya.
Then we ate lunch. I ate a dinasour. Dinasour! I didn't eat any dinasour!
After lunch we had a spelling test. I did really good ! almost perfect!
Then we worked on our Math. I didn't like it very much.
Then we worked on our Maps of the school. It was fun.. ya.
Then we had recess. I cried again? Then we had music and now we having gym... right now! I got to go!

Yo GI Joe this is Axel.
This morning we read. Then we walked around the classroom and wrote nice stuff about people. After that we worked on our writing assignment. Then we had recess... at recess I cried because I missed my mommy and daddy.... After recess we worked on math. Then we went to the library and we had a smartboard presentation about Urban and Rural.
Then we ate lunch.
After lunch the boys went to Boys Book club at the Corvette public school.
We learned how to do Comiclife and Wikki and we listened to a boxer. Now we are back ready for the weekend. I am going to miss school this weekend... i am sad.

This is Hana Montana.
Today we went on a field trip. In the morning we sorted out Urban and Rural pictures. Then we ummm... we were.. um we did a map. And then we started acting. The teacher gave us our own names and families. We had to get together with our families to umm to do our family list. We had to write our brothers and sisters names and how old they were... and we need... and we need... Abbey .. go home...
Umm. Then we had lunch with our little teeny weeeny baskets. And then we went for recess. At recess we played tug of war and I threw some snowballs over the fence.
Then we went back into class and then I don't know.
We had to write on our mini chalkboards and we did a spelling test. Then we had to go home to music and gym.
It was a good day. Yes. it was a fun trip. I want to go back. I wish Mr. Keil would yell at me like our teacher did today.....
And also what happened to Ola the teacher pinned her hair to the wall! It was funny. And also with Garrett he had to put his nose in a circle on the chalkboard for being naughty!

This is Kimbo.
This morning we uhhhhhhh read.
Then we worked on our comic book stories about our lives. Then we went for recess. I cried. I cried? ha ha ha delete that.... haha ha.... mean look.... if he keeps saying things he is going to type it....
After recess we went to the computers and we worked on something... what did we work on.... ummm the ... Wayne Gretzky thingy.
We got free time on the computers where I worked on Funbrain stuff. Then we worked on our EQAO stuff... it was fun.
Then we ate lunch.
After lunch we had our spelling test. I got perfffffffect. Then we did some math before we did Art. We made background scenes for our ocean pictures. And... then we had recess... I crawled around like a dog. Now we are in music and gym.... and now I can't say anymore because .... welll.... just because I don't even know what is going to happen next... would you stop TYPING!

This is Julian... I like to run.
Today we started off with DEAR and then we wrote... what was it.... what was after that.... then we worked on our short stories about our lives. We are editing the stories... they are sometimes fun sometimes hard. After recess we came inside and did some work with inferenceing about slavery. Then we took up our EQAO practice question from yesterday. Almost everyone did not do well...
After lunch we went to the library and checked out some new books. Then after library we came back and worked on math. After recess we started our typing program to learn to type. The program is called BBC typing dance mat. It was fun.
Now we are cleaning up and going home!

Ya.. sure ... this is Miley Cyrus the famous singer.! Where are my boots!
This morning we ahhh we did writing.. ah... we are writing stories about our lives. ummm We are writing stuff about that umm about what has happened to us. Then we are going to bring in pictures to match the stories. And we are going to create 5 stories a make a comic book! Awesome.
Then we had recess. Then we did some inferenceing. Mr. Keil read us a story about a girl that thought there were ghosts in her attic and then they were actually slaves that were hiding until they could be sent to Canada. We would have to infer what was going to happen. It was good.
Then we went out for lunch.. ya then it was lunch.. we went out for lunch... that says we went out for lunch.... no I didn't stay for Pizza lunch....
After lunch we did Math. It was easy. I love Math... no I don't...
Then we talked about pioneers and what they wear and eat. We are excited about the field trip!
Now I am in Gym and music. Now we are in the gym. Before we were in music.
Ummm.... ahhhh.... no.

Yo Yo Yo. This is Emmzy.
I don't know what we did today. Hmmm. This morning we wrote stories using our spelling words. Then we went to Reading Buddies to help the kindies read. During reading buddies I read a book called insects then me and my buddy played with the puppet insects. It was fun.
Then we had recess.
Then we went to the library and we worked on writing paragraphs. Then we ate lunch. After lunch we went to the library to do some math using the smarboard. Then we came back and worked in our math books. It was not fun. Then we had recess. During recess I ate my snack.... that is it.
After recess we did some Science experiments on balance and structures and we did headstands and standing on one foot. I did a head stand. I loved it... I love doing headstands... they are my favourite. They are not my favourite.
Now I am going home.
I miss school. No I don't.

Homework:
Students can complete their math - page 81 - questions 2-6.
They can read.
Also - they can bring in pictures of different things that they can write stories about. The idea is they bring in different pictures that help them tell 5 different stories. Could be pictures of pets and they share a story - pictures of a trip that they have been on, pictures of family members etc. They will choose 5 stories to tell and then we are going to create a comic book.
Lastly - the students are going to be writing speeches this year. They should start thinking about topics.

A permission form was sent home today. Take a look at it and if you could get it filled out and sent back as soon as possible it would be greatly appreciated. The trip is next Wednesday.
I will be sending home more information to help explain how the kids are to dress and what to bring for lunch so if it does not make sense tonight then it should in the next couple of days.

Today we read in the morning as usual then we learned what the word inference was. the morning was awesomely awesome. then we had lunch and we played outside for quite a while. then we were introduced to a new math unit.... adding and subtracting. we also learned about sum and difference. then when we went back to the classroom we learned what happened and how Canada was found 300 years into the past. and are homework is to draw a picture of what it looked liked when Canada was first discovered.

Homework:
Complete drawing of first landing - Pioneer Drawing. Students pretend that they are on the boat that first landed in Canada. They draw what they see from the boat and draw a second picture of how the pioneers can solve some of the problems they will face - eg. Hunting for food, building shelters, making clothes.
Math - page 79 - Numbers 1-4 if they have time - if not this can be completed in class.
Reading - Raptors competition is going to heat up this term!
